Producers urged to spread the word about the connection between love and life insurance

Arlington, Va. – February 1, 2013 – Valentine’s Day is a day for people to celebrate their love for each other. That’s why every February the nonprofit LIFE Foundation asks people to look beyond the traditional gifts of chocolates and flowers, and to show their loved ones that they care through the selfless gift of life insurance.

LIFE’s “Insure Your Love” campaign, which runs throughout February, focuses on reminding people about why life insurance is so important – to protect the ones they love financially against life’s unexpected moments. When it comes down to it, the main reason to purchase life insurance is because of love.

This February, to help producers talk to clients and prospects about the connection between love and life insurance and the important protection it can provide, LIFE is making available a free toolkit that provides useful educational resources – from videos to social media assets – as well as an Insure Your Love marketing guide. “February is a great time for the industry to come together to educate consumers about the importance of life insurance – especially with people already thinking about how to show the ones they love that they care,” said Marvin H. Love and Life Insurance Through Photos
To help get Americans thinking about their need for life insurance, LIFE also has created an Insure Your Love Photo Mosaic. Producers are encouraged to ask their clients to upload photos of the ones they love and want to take care of, now and in the future. For every photo that gets added, LIFE will donate $1 to the LIFE Lessons Scholarship Fund, which gives tuition assistance to college-age students who have lost a parent.
