Get a Fast Start on LIAM With These Tips

It’s almost Life Insurance Awareness Month. Life Happens has coordinated it for the last 12 years to help educate consumers and also to give you a platform to reach out during the month of September. Here are some tips to get a campaign up and running.

1. Use Danica Patrick’s video message as “an excuse” to reach out to clients and prospects.
Race car driver Danica Patrick is the 2016 spokesperson for Life Insurance Awareness Month. She has wide appeal, plus she’s a passionate advocate of life insurance. In this short public service announcement video, she speaks frankly about why life insurance is so important. 2. Make social media a breeze with our prewritten “30-Days of Social-Media Posts.”
This document has a Facebook post and a tweet for each day of September, including great videos, graphics and statistics. We’ve done the work for you so you can simply copy and paste them into your own social media profiles. Or, feel free to take it to the next step and adapt the post to your audience. 3. Use a different way of framing the life insurance conversation: Not having life insurance is an unnecessary risk.
Danica Patrick sums up her view on life insurance this way: “Driving race cars is risky. Not having life insurance to protect your loved ones is riskier.” Both in her PSA (see above) and the resources that Life Happens has created around her message (flyer, great Q&A interview with her, quote graphics) she is candid about this fact saying: “So many people don’t have life insurance. That’s just an unnecessary risk. It means leaving your loved ones to suffer financially if something happened to you.”

4. Show how real people benefit from life insurance every day.
Life Happens has been telling Real Life Stories for more than 20 years. These are real stories of everyday people who benefited from life insurance at times of great financial and emotional need. They show what life insurance does for families and businesses, not just what it is.
